Nami Island
What is it?
Namiseom Island or Nami Island is a result of the construction of the Cheongpyeong Dam. The island also holds the grave of General Nami. The island has no telephone poles as there were electric wires built underground instead to help keep the island’s beauty. Many families and couples come here since it is close to Seoul. You do have to take a ferry to get here but it is a great thing to do if you have time on the weekends as many people spend about 4 hours here. There are also resorts, a theme park with a shooting range, roller skating rink and merry go round, and a swimming pool. Besides those, you can also go to the themed gardens, performances, restaurants and exhibition halls.
