Being the young country that it is, of only +- sixty years after the last war, South Korea has really made huge tides and progress. It houses in its borders 8 International Airports, amongst which its very own Incheon International Airport is rated one of the best in the world. Most people have gotten the first-hand experience of South Korea's 'Korean Air'. Comments have really pointed this as one of the best services even in the economy class. As expected of anything Korean; the cabin crew is nothing short of glorious, kind, friendly service.

So we know that in South Korea you either go big or go home, and it's something Koreans have shown us that they go by. Not only does South Korea house international airports, but it is also a home to 6 domestic airports with services that is equally on a level you can marvel at.

As you can probably already imagine, there are different train systems in South Korea; the recently improved KTX high-speed train and the metro subway train. There are also national trains that are not necessarily high speed but very comfortable for longer distances and fairly cheap, even though it will cut your travel time into half like the KTX, it is still a preferred way.

Metro subway trains are a very easy way to navigate most big cities in the world like Seoul. It connects the inner city to the outer suburbs. When you walk right into the subway you will find, ticked vending and card reloading machines. It has the option to choose English so that you can buy your metro card; most Koreans already have this function on their credit/debit cards so they hardly use the machine. This means you will be done in no time.

3. Buses

South Korea is known for its safety, so do not fear sitting at the bus stop waiting for the bus. You will need a card that's loaded with cash, to specifically use for the buses.

Most tourists have shown appreciation of Korean people on the bus, if you are running for the bus, the driver will wait for you. It is a very friendly, respectful humane nation. You should however be very sure of your destination so you can press the button, especially if you cannot speak Korean.

So like any other country, South Korea is big on taxis too, and they are available for 24hours in big cities, which is really great. Now there are two tricks you must remember in order to have a good taxi experience in cities like Seoul. The taxis are color-coded, just like other modes of transport in Korea as we have mentioned. The colours are really important here as they do not indicate different destinations or routes but rather levels of expertise for the driver.

With that said, it would be wise if you can select a black color-coded car to alleviate your fears. The second point to note is that you will hardly get any cab to stop for you if you just step onto the street and signal it to stop since most of them are already booked. So the best thing to do when you land in South Korea is to download the most essential apps that will ease your way around. Remember to write your destination on a paper if you cannot speak Korean.
